Chievo's Flying Donkeys seem to have decided to either live or die in the last ten minutes of their matches. Today's nail-biter was just another example. A last-gasp goal from Davide Moscardelli ended Genoa's unbeaten start to the season and took Chievo above them in the Serie A table.
The Chievo sub scored with practically the last kick of the game to take the Flying Donkeys above their opponents among the early frontrunners after Rodrigo Palacio had put the visitors in front early in the second half and Sergio Pellissier had levelled 15 minutes from time.
Genoa played the last half an hour with 10 men after Dario Dainelli was sent off for giving away a penalty, which Sebastien Frey saved from Pellissier.
Chievo's next match is at Cesena next Sunday. Let's hope the fine matches this week against previous unbeatens continues.
